Climate Action Newtown COP26 Petition

As part of our actions planned to mark the Global Day of Action on Climate Change planned for 6th November 2021, Climate Action Newtown is calling on people living in the Newtown, Powys area to sign the following petition.

We, the undersigned, call on UK and Welsh Governments to:

  • Make more ambitious commitments at COP26
  • Take more ambitious action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
  • Immediately end all fossil fuel subsidies and exploration

Climate Action Newtown (CAN) is a membership organisation based in Newtown, Powys. It was founded by local people who share the objective of reducing the collective greenhouse gas emissions of our local area.
